Ben, a robust problem solver, works to ensure that all peoples and cultures are allowed the same opportunities to succeed and live fulfilling lives. 

Ben Sherman (Oglala Lakota), Zuya Ohitika Wicasa (He Who Travels With Courage) was born on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota before moving to Billings, MT when he was seven. Ben lives on Oceti Sakowin, Cheyenne, Apsaalooke, and Blackfoot traditional territory. He has called Billings home since then.

Prior to his work with Indigenous Impact Co., Ben helped build a successful Amazon business, leveraging inconsistencies of the Amazon marketplace and selling more than 169,000 textbooks with over $14 million in revenue. 

Ben joined Indigenous Impact Co. the Fall of 2021 as the Vice President of Finance & Innovations to help build regenerative financial systems and innovate the revitalization of cultures through food, land, and relationships. Ben enjoys being part of movements that bring Indigenous communities together, leveraging his international experience visiting 38 countries.
